Lori Tonti LCSW is the founder and owner of Affinity Counseling Services.
A Clinical Social Worker Licensed by the State of New Jersey, her with over thirty five years as a Social Worker. Her experience includes 20 years as a Case Manager for children with complex medical needs and developmental disabilities, a School Social Worker, and a Therapist in Group Practice.
From these experiences she has acquired a deep understanding of and empathy for a diverse population.
Individual Therapy for Adults. Services for Children 6- 18 years of age are limited to suspected diagnosis of OCD.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder that affects people of all ages and occurs when a person gets caught in a cycle of obsessions and rituals Obsessions are unwanted, intrusive thoughts that trigger intensely distressing feelings. Rituals are behaviors an individual does in to attempt to get rid of the thoughts decrease his or her distress.
OCD requires a specific type of treatment called CBT/ERP .
Our practice has advanced training and certification in the treatment of OCD utilizing CBT/ERP for both children and adults
